The National Weather Service issued a slight risk across Central Alabama for this Sunday.

The National Weather Service announced Tallapoosa, Coosa and Elmore counties are under a moderate risk level through 9 p.m., with all three counties remaining under a tornado watch until 5 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued Thursday morning an advisory for Tallapoosa County, which indicates a slight risk of severe weather threat during the afternoon and evening. 

Now the storm has shifted, and Tallapoosa and parts of Coosa County have been issued a marginal risk, level one out of five. 

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a slight risk, which is a level two out of five threat category, for that night and early Saturday morning. The risk level warns against damaging winds up to 60 mph and possible tornadoes. 

This Sunday storms may bring hail and up to 60 mph winds for Tallapoosa and Coosa County.
