A couple years ago, the Dadeville Beautification Board planted trees around the schools — each honoring a different graduating class. This fall, the board will be reopening for more donations and extending the project.

Last week, the Kiwanis Club and First Presbyterian Church presented checks to benefit victims of the April 15 mass shooting.

The director of Tallapoosa County DHR said this year's toy drive is at least three times more than what they have received in years past from the Dadeville library.

A local company made a generous donation this week.

Alexander City’s library will be hosting Food for Fines Nov. 1 through Dec. 17, where patrons can donate nonperishable food in place of paying overdue book fines.
