Ferst Readers nationally distributed over 50,000 books in one month. The Tallapoosa County chapter aided in those numbers with distributing nearly 500 books to local children in the month of December.

Yesterday morning, Ferst Readers was given a check from the Tallapoosa County Board of Education that will allow them to provide 560 books for preschool age children.

This past Friday Ferst Readers held their second annual golf fundraising event at Stillwaters Golf Course. Ferst Readers of Tallapoosa County help supply free books to local kids from ages zero to five.

Next month, Ferst Readers of Tallapoosa County is hosting its third annual Fish for Ferst Bass Tournament fundraiser.
