Billy “Buddy” Sharpe of Alexander City passed away on March 22, 2024. He was 94 years old. Buddy served in the army as a tank operator in Europe after WW2. Upon his return home he worked as a brick / block mason, like his father and several Sharpe men did, for the remainder of his work career. A career that would last until he was 72. He built houses all over the Alexander City and Lake Martin area. He believed in hard work and took great pride in his work. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved the adventure of traveling to hunt and fish. The only thing he loved more was his family.
