There was no shortage of accolades for Benjamin Russell’s cheerleading squad at last week’s Universal Cheerleaders Association camp at Auburn University.

Not only did the Wildcats place first in the rally routine and the sideline cheer competitions, they also earned a superior squad ribbon. BRHS was also named Most Improved Squad for its hard work throughout the week.

“Overall we had a great week at camp,” Benjamin Russell coach Sandi Woods said. “Everyone worked really hard and they had a lot of fun. We are looking forward to the upcoming football season.”

On an individual level, Ashari Chapman, Anna Riley, Alaina Young and Raylee Moore were all named All-American cheerleaders. Jeriah Freeman, DaNeiya Owens and Young all received the Pin-It-Forward award.
