Local cancer survivors and members of Our Journey of Hope were honored at a luncheon hosted by the Legacy Event Center Friday afternoon.

Liz Benton had just found out she had stage three breast cancer. There was a lot going through her mind at that moment, but the only thing she really needed was that mustard seed.

Our Journey of Hope is an organization dedicated to cancer care ministry for patients, survivors, loved ones and caretakers — all through God’s helping hand.

Both David and Liz underwent an eight-week online course to be certified and start an Our Journey of Hope chapter for Alexander City and surrounding areas.
