Tallapoosa County EMS is increasing its emergency service equipment with the assistance of local, state and federal funds. 

At its January meeting, the Tallapoosa County Commission agreed to discuss further plans of possible funding toward the local ambulance service. 

First responders were called to 11th Ave. South last night in Alexander City after a man was allegedly stabbed by his girlfriend.

A new ambulance was delivered last month in Coosa County but it is not yet in service.
