The Coosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Mt. Olive community to a reported burglary of a home.

“During the course of the burglary, several guns, jewelry and the victim’s vehicle was stolen,” Coosa County Sheriff Michael Howell said. “Within one hour of receiving the report of the burglary, the offender was located off of Highway 22 in the Ray community.”

Howell said teamwork paid off in making a quick arrest.

“I would like to thank the Alabama State Trooper, the Coosa County Sheriff’s Office investigators and deputies for their hard work in this case by solving it so quickly and recovering the victim’s stolen property,” Howell said.
