U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Michael Wester addresses the audience at the Bill Nichols State Veterans Home Memorial Day tribute Monday in Alexander City. Wester pointed out 2.8 million Americans have been killed or wounded in all wars and confiicts since the American Revolution. ‘The cost of our freedom came at a high price,’ he said. ‘Today, we honor them and carry on the legacy of service of those great Americans.’
