In response to High Mark for Tide on Dec. 15, I’d like to offer my opinion. While I agree that Mark Ingram winning the University of Alabama’s first Heisman Trophy is certainly newsworthy, did it deserve front page coverage from a newspaper predominantly read by Auburn fans? And why a public opinion poll on whether or not he deserved it? I have to wonder if you would have printed the same type of article and poll if Ben Tate had won the Heisman this year.
