A New Site man is in the Chambers County Jail following his arrest during an investigation into a sexual assault in Valley, police said.

Timothy Zen Hendrix, 27, was arrested Thursday in New Site and is charged with first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse, Valley police said in a news release Friday. They also arrested Heather Ragan Turner, 36, for sexual extortion.

The Valley Police Department started an investigation in 2018 after being contacted by the Auburn Police Department in reference to sexual assault.

Hendrix’s arrest comes after an investigation started when a female juvenile victim told police Turner filmed her while Turner had access to the victim.

“Turner would continually video and photographed her when she was in the shower,” Valley police Capt. Mike Reynolds said in the release.

Law enforcement said Hendrix sexually assaulted the victim while Turner was present after Turner had filmed her. Turner told the victim she would harm her if she told anyone.

Police said they arrested Turner in March and while interviewing her, Turner admitted to sending photos of the victim to Hendrix. Turner also told authorities Hendrix assaulted the victim.

After one of the incidents, Hendrix arrived at the home and sexually assaulted the victim in the presence of Turner, authorities said.

Sexual extortion is a Class B felony. First-degree sodomy is a Class A felony. First-degree sexual abuse is a Class C felony.

Hendrix and Turner were booked into the Chambers County Jail where they are being held pending bond hearings.
