A man from Opelika and a woman from Auburn were arrested Tuesday in the Reeltown area. According to a release, Jeffery Alan Bell, 40, of Opelika, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana first degree and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kaylee Sides, 30, of Auburn, was arrested and charged with the same counts.

The Tallapoosa County Narcotics Force and the Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at a residence on Highway 49 South in the Reeltown area. The search warrant was a result of a probation violation arrest warrant detail for a fugitive from Lee County.

Investigators were made aware of the suspect location and went to arrest him on outstanding warrants; the individual attempted to flee out the back door but was quickly apprehended. Narcotics and paraphernalia were in plain view and allowed investigators to obtain a search warrant.

Recovered from the residence were approximately 33 grams of marijuana and 9 grams of crystal meth.
