There were crowds of people on the streets of downtown Alexander City on Saturday morning as there was much for residents and guests alike to enjoy.
Tykes in Trucks — originally set to be part of Alexander City Chamber of Commerce's Sun Festival but was postponed — was finally held on its rescheduled date of Saturday and it did not disappoint. Children enjoyed getting behind the wheel of fire trucks, marine patrol boats, tractors, city vehicles, cop cars, dump trucks and more. There was Kona Ice available as well as cotton candy plus children could get their faces painted.
Over on Broad Street, things didn't slow down a bit as the Alexander City Farmers Market held its weekly market. This week's market was extra exciting as Ryan Downing performed music for guests and there was a petting zoo for children to enjoy.
