monday medallion

Coosa County residents Audra and Derrick Henderson pose with their check and the medallion.

It took a second clue for Monday's prized medallion to be found.

Coosa County residents Audra and Derrick Henderson found the Wind Creek Wetumpka Casino & Hotel Medallion at Hillabee Towers Monday afternoon just before 4 p.m.

After reading the second clue and realizing no one had found it yet, the couple put two and two together and realized the location of the medallion and quickly hopped in the car to head toward Alexander City to claim it.

The first clue read:

An older translation could be real quick

Your history book might mention a red stick

In this case, the name is not correctly defined

Since one of the doors has a person behind

The second clue read:

It sounds similar to what something don’t amount to
You replace the end with a fan of honey
It’s not a book with five stories
But you can be the first to see if it’s sunny

The first line of the second clue is what gave it away for the couple; "It sounds similar to what something don’t amount to," relates to the old saying "not worth a hill of beans."

The two received a $200 check for finding the medallion.

The fun will begin again as a clue will be released 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
