the governor should be out trying to get jobs for people instead of costing people their jobs. but this being his last year,I guess he's trying to make a good mess for someone eles to clean up.
I don't understand the governor. The casino's are already here, he cannot close the Indians down, so what difference does it make. He comes from a hometown my ex-husband is from. The county is dry, there was at one time over 50 bootleggers there. People from Tallapoosa County would say they got the tax money from the sales and Clay County (his home town) got the cans throwed off on sides of the road. Those people live in the past, they are real backwoods type of people, and they don't want any improvement for their county and obviously he don't want any improvement for the state of Alabama. I think when it is all said and done Alabama is going to see the truth when he is out of office.
if thier boss is running an illegal operation, they shouldnt get unemployment,if a drug dealers boss gets shut down, they cant draw unemployment,if you feel you have to gamble ,go to another state.gambling can know way be an improvement.gambling away your money sounds backwoods to me,you cant be too bright
My whole family worked at Victoryland. 25 years. 20 years and Son 2 years and Daughter 1 year who needed employment that we could not find in Tallapoosa County. We have to pay a tax to work in Macon County. People have to go where the jobs are. People have to pay their bills and provide food for their familys. I have a Daughter who needs a job really bad right now and she has a 2 year old son. She has not been able to find work in a while, If you get a job, most people stick with it. Alabama has seen more than its share of unemployment. It took 5 weeks for my daughter to recieve her UC. Thats a long time for people to go without food and being able to pay rent. That means there are going to be More Homeless people. I feel sorry for all who are having to go through this. It hurts everyone.....
