Resident charged with rape

An Alexander City man, who police say had sex with a minor, has been charged with statutory rape.
Danny Uribe, 18, of Dadeville Road was charged with statutory rape Wednesday for the incident that reportedly occurred May 1.
Detective Luke Sivley confirmed the victim was younger than 16 years old and stated that the act was consensual, but declined to release any other information about the case.
Uribe is currently being held on $10,000 bond at the Tallapoosa County Jail. ꆱ
