Holiday events abound in area
Published Friday, December 18, 2009
Christmas is a special time for Christians to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Many local pastors and congregations are planning special services in observance and celebration of Christmas. The community is invited to attend all of these services.
The Christmas program is always a seasonal favorite at Flint Hill United Methodist Church.
This year’s cantata, “Miss Mary Almost Misses Christmas” will include music and a drama with children, youth and adults
“The skit was written by Mary Perry and reminds everyone of how if you let the stress of the holidays get to you then you miss the real meaning of Christmas,” the Rev. Dee Dowdy, pastor, said. “We invite everyone to come and be reminded of the real reason for Christmas.”
The church is located on Dadeville Road.
