2014 All-Outlook Baseball Team

Published 10:35am Monday, June 2, 2014

2014 saw area teams scratch and claw their way to strong seasons on the diamond. After up and down campaigns during the last couple of years, the Benjamin Russell Wildcats rolled to a 25-10 record on the season, a strong improvement from last year’s middling record. BRHS returned to the playoffs, but the ‘Cats were bounced by Marbury.
With a knack for playing big when the moment demands it, Dadeville overcame the loss of 2013 All-State and All-Outlook squad members Caleb Brooks, C.J. Tolbert and Cal Jones to win the area championship and eliminate Holtville from the playoffs.
However, the Tigers season came to an end at the hands of Childersburg. Horseshoe Bend also returned to the playoffs, but lost to Vincent, the team the Generals put out of the playoff last year. Central-Coosa struggled under first-year coach David Stover, but it didn’t stop the Cougars from showing flashes on the diamond.
For the accomplishments of this season’s best we applaud the 2014 All-Outlook baseball team.
