Before you talk, get involved

Published 7:24pm Thursday, April 17, 2014

Dear Editor:

As a volunteer at Wind Creek State Park, I would like to comment on the Easter Egg Hunt. After volunteers and employees got up before 7am and hid approximately 1000 plastic eggs, without candy in them because of health issues with some children, picked Easter baskets for different age groups, and purchased gift certificates for some eggs hidden, that ALL kids could find, making decorative signs for the event and handling other issues, this event turned out great. Congratulations to the ones that, even though they have health issues that could keep them from doing it, and to us that are just older, we enjoyed doing something for all the KIDS that attended. You never know what is involved until YOU get involved.

Sincerely,

Pat Skates
