Mrs. Mary Alma Waldrop

Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Alma Waldrop, 93, of Pell City, will be Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 12:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Dr. Gerald Hallmark will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Radney Funeral Home.

Mrs. Waldrop passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at her Residence. She was born on October 22, 1920 in Clay County, Alabama to Monroe Jefferson Jones and Nonnie Caroline Alford Jones. She was an active member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She loved to watch Auburn football, basketball and the Atlanta Braves. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and going to singings. Also, she loved to watch her soap operas.

She is survived by her daughter, Lavane Waldrop Aiello (Mike), of Pell City; son-in-law, Billy Paul Austin; grandchild, Kyle Evan Austin (Amanda); sister, Maxine Gamble; great-grandchild, Emily Austin.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Waldrop Austin; grandchild, Benjamin Paul Austin; parents; sisters, Adell Brown, Gaynell Jones, Alverene Waldrop; brothers, Ivan Jones and Melvin Jones.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Lakeside Hospice, 4010 Masters Road, Pell City, Al, 35218.
