Lady ‘Cats golf remains perfect in win vs. SHS

So far this season, all the Benjamin Russell Lady Wildcats golfers have done is win.
After defeating Sylacauga 148-178 in match play, BRHS’ girls improved to 5-0 on the season.
McKenzie Chapman, Emily Kerley, Hayden Scales, Lucy Shamblin and Anne Marie Wendling teamed to take down the Lady Aggies.
The boys fell to 3-2 on the season, losing to Sylacauga 168-176.
Cole Ballard, Michael Blake, Darrell Huntley, Cade McKeever, Collin Sharpe and Stewart Ward represented the Wildcats in the match.
“The girls are playing well,” BRHS golf coach Wes Tate said. “Both teams are working hard to get better, and the boys are improving.”
Benjamin Russell’s next match will be the Central-Phenix City tournament for the girls on April 7, and the boys return to the links to face Chilton County on April 8 at Willow Point.
