Graveside memorial service for Ms. Sarah Linda Woodfin, 73, of Alexander City, will be Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Alexander City Cemetery. Randy Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.

Ms. Woodfin passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at her residence. She was born on October 24, 1940 in Alexander City, Alabama to Dewey Wilson Plasse and Sarah Lavinne Pruitt Plasse. Ms. Woodfin began her floral career in Marion, Al., where she owned and operated Woodfin’s Gift Gallery. After moving to Alexander City, she worked as a florist at Winn Dixie until her retirement in 2003. Ms. Woodfin was a big Auburn football fan and enjoyed watching the games. She loved animals and always had a pet.

She is survived by her sons, Walter David Dobbs of Cordova, TN and William Todd Dobbs of Alexander City; grandchildren, Chris Dobbs (Andrea) of Alexander City, Erin Dobbs, Katheryn Hodge (Roy) and great-grandchild, Kaylee Dobbs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas Woodfin and her parents.

In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lake Martin Humane Society, P.O. Box 634 Alexander City, Al. 35011-0634.
