Mrs. Hazel Andrews Stone Mahan

Funeral Services for Mrs. Hazel Mahan, age 98, of Alexander City, will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Bass Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. John Watkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Bass Funeral Home. Mrs. Mahan passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 19, 2014. S he was born on December 14, 1915 to George and Sally Andrews. Mrs. Hazel enjoyed talking about the Lord and enjoyed her church families. She was a true southern Christian lady. She enjoyed cooking for her family. She enjoyed and loved doing yard work and enjoyed her flower gardens. She enjoyed drinking her coffee and talking on the phone to socialize with friends and family after her health declined. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Agnes Railey of Alexander City; three daughters; one son in law; one granddaughter; three great grandsons; a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Mr. Oliver Stone, and Rev. Edd Mahan; one sister, and two brothers.
