Funeral service for Mr. Billie Joe Huff, Sr., 84, of Notasulga, will be Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Dr. Bobby Railey and Rev. Danny Rogers will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Huff passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at his residence. He was born on January 29, 1930 in LaGrange, Georgia to Marvin Goodwin Huff and Mary Gene Truitt Huff. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed having fish fry’s for his family and friends and eating out. Most of all, Mr. Huff loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Huff Snead (David) of Largo, FL and Connie Huff Reading (Joe) of Baxley, GA; sons, Billie Joe Huff, Jr. (Renea Hand) of Baxley, GA and Larry Joe Huff (Debbie) of Dunedin, FL; 9 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren; sisters, Betty Sells (Roy) of Notasulga, Velma Manthei of Bryan, TX, and Dorothy White of Alexander City; brother, Robert Huff (Gayle) of Dadeville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin Eugene Huff; and grandchild, Christian Nicole Reading.
