Tony Harris has announced his candidacy for the District 2 seat of the Tallapoosa County Commission.

Harris is an Alexander City resident and has owned and operated Harris Painting for 18 years.

“I have always been interested in running for public office,” Harris said. “I feel like my calling is to serve people.”

“I believe I have something to offer the county as far as my business experience, working with people and managing employees over the years,” Harris said. “I love people, and this is another opportunity to serve the community.”

Harris also operates Cabin Comfort, LLC. with his wife Sheila.

Harris said he would be willing to talk to any citizen and address questions or concerns. He can be reached at 256-794-2969.

“Serving as commissioner of District 2, I will be willing and dedicated to working for the citizens and with the other commissioners to help better our community,” Harris said. “I would greatly appreciate all votes and support.”
