Horseshoe Bend hoops fall to 2A powerhouse Lanett

The Horseshoe Bend Generals boys and girls basketball teams took tough losses this past Tuesday, as the boys and girls squads of 2A hoops power Lanett handed Horseshoe Bend double-digit losses.
In the girls game, the Lady Generals lost 62-29. Zakkiah Lyons led the team with 16 points and was the only player to score in double figuers. On the season, the Lady Generals are 10-8.
The boys lost to Lanett 63-16 for their 17th straight defeat. Antwan Hardnett scored five points to lead the Generals, and Will Story scored four. The Generals will have a few days off before getting back on the court for a road game versus Randolph County.
