Mrs. Julia Elizabeth Thomas

Funeral Service for Mrs. Julia Elizabeth Thomas, 75, of Kellyton, will be Friday, November 29, 2013 at 2:30 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Blue Vardaman and Brother Charles Francisco will officiate. Burial will follow in the Alexander City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thomas passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 at her residence. She was born on May 6, 1938 in Alexander City to Howell Curtis McAlister and Claudie Robertson McAlister. She was a member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and enjoyed cooking. She worked as an office manager for Drs. Campbell and Parks for 35 years.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Don Thomas of Kellyton; daughters, Kelly Jones (Bart), of Lawrenceville, GA and Donna DiCosola (Frank), of Saint Petersburg, FL; sisters Lou Wilson (Ted), Joyce Branch, Shirley Pearce (Lewey); brothers, Frank McAlister (Geneva), Elmer McAlister (Ann), Avery McAlister (Sybil), Robert McAlister (Harriet); grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Tyler Jones, Anthony DiCosola, Julia DiCosola.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Geneva Strickland, Sarah Spraggins; brothers Ralph McAlister, Reynolds McAlister, Alvin C. McAlister.
