Mrs. Mary Lou Caldwell

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lou Caldwell, age 92 of Alexander City, will be Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. Wayne Cowhick officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Gilead Community Cemetery.

Mrs. Caldwell passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Russell Medical Center. She was a native of Bullock County, Alabama and a former resident of Randolph County, but had lived in Alexander City for the past 22 years. Mrs. Caldwell worked at Langdale Mills for over 35 years and was a member of Orr Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sisters: Gladys Shockley of Alexander City and Jimmie Fetner of Oxford; one sister-in-law, Eunice Hodge of Alexander City; two step-sons: Luke Caldwell of Alexander City and Chris Caldwell of New Site plus numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Mrs. Caldwell was preceded in death by her parents: Ben Hodge and Lula Brooks Hodge; her husband, J. B. Caldwell; two sisters: Nell Wood and Sara Thornton; three brothers: George Hodge, Keith Hodge and Charlie Hodge.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. Send on-line condolences at www.benefieldfuneralhome.com
