Mrs. Irene Ricks Rhodes

Funeral service for Mrs. Irene Ricks Rhodes, 90, of Camp Hill, will be Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Carl Kelly will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tallapoosa Memory Garden. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rhodes passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Dadeville Healthcare. She was born on August 12, 1923 in Lee County, Alabama. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Rhodes enjoyed flower gardening, reading, and cooking for her family.

She is survived by her son, Joseph S. Rhodes (Betty) and daughter, Janice R. Burnette (Kenny); grandchildren, Margo Rhodes, Tracie R. Johnson (Mike), Joey Rhodes (Rachel), Brad Burnette (Meredith), Mark Burnette (Ashley), and Lee B. LaCoume (Jim); great-grandchildren, Amanda J. Wald (Vincent), Jonathan Johnson, Rana Sievert, Sarah Rhodes, Haisley Burnette, Benton Burnette, Riley LaCoume, and Haley LaCoume.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Rhodes, Sr.; her parents, Lonnie E. and Louella Thomas Ricks; and her sister, Louise Ricks Henderson.

The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be given to the charity of one’s choice.
