Mrs. Faye Rustin

Mrs. Faye Champion Rustin, age 78, of Griffin, passed away November 8, 2013. She was born in Alexander City, AL to the late Leonard Champion and Lucille Adams Champion. She was a member of Milner United Methodist Church, and a long-time member of the Women of the Moose. In her early years she enjoyed water skiing, bowling, dancing and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cleve Whetstone and Thomas M. Rustin, Sr., and sister, Robbie Partridge.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Cynthia and Daniel Sharp of Griffin and Judy and Mike Jones of Greenville; son and daughter-in-law: Leonard and Janice Whetstone of Alexander City; granddaughter: Stacy Hays of Zebulon; grandson and his wife: Staff Sgt. Kazys and Diana Margaitis of Ft. Campbell, KY; great-grandchildren: Alexander, Cierrah, Savannah, Conner, Dustin, Loreli and Deliah; sisters and a brother-in-law: Eulene and Donald Pritchard and Myra McCord; brother and sister-in-law: Danny and Carol Champion all of Alexander City; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the family on Sunday, November 10, from 1-3 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Wagoner officiating, with burial in Moody Memorial Gardens. Moody-Daniel Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
