Halloween hits Dadeville from 5-8 p.m. Thursday

The city of Dadeville set the hours for Halloween trick-or-treating from 5-8 p.m. Thursday night. A community trunk-or-treat event will also be in the square around the Tallapoosa County Courthouse from 6-8 p.m., with a big-screen presentation of Monsters University sponsored by Mix It Up!

• Motorist are reminded that there will be more pedestrians on the street than normal. Please drive safely near pedestrians and watch for people running from house to house in neighborhoods.

• Pedestrians are reminded to watch for motorists and cross the street only when safe to do so. Remember, STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN.

• Pedestrians are advised to wear bright clothing, walk in groups, and carry a light source.

• Never enter a stranger’s home and only accept unopened treats.

• Home owners are reminded to remove all tripping hazards use proper lighting.

The Dadeville Police Department wishes everyone a safe and happy Halloween.
