The Benjamin Russell Wildcats controlled the game from start to finish in Thursday’s 48-6 region win over the Rehobeth Rebels.
After a slow start, quarterback Bryant Horn got the Wildcats (6-1, 5-0) going with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Bookie Ford, as the Collin Sharpe extra point made it 7-0 with 3:33 left in the first.
The Wildcats carried over the momentum to their very next drive, as Horn tossed his second touchdown of the half, this time finding Quinn Johnson on the sideline for a 31-yard score that made it 14-0 with 49 seconds left in the opening quarter.
Horn took one in himself on a 1-yard sneak that extended the lead to 21-0 before LaBrenikin Johnson added a 26-yard touchdown run that made it 28-0 Wildcats midway through the second quarter.
The Wildcats went into the break leading 41-0, as Horn tossed two more touchdowns, one for 42 yards to Quinn Johnson and another for 51 yards to Ford.
Horn finished the night 10 for 14 passing for 217 yards and four touchdowns, adding 24 yards on six carries for another score.
LaBrenikin Johnson had 82 yards on 11 rushes and one score, while Ellis Holloway had 52 yards on nine carries and one touchdown.
Ford had 79 yards on three catches for two scores, while Quinn Johnson had 63 yards on two catches, both of which were touchdowns.
