Radney buys Langley

Langley Funeral Home is going through a transition as it changes ownership.
Effective Oct. 1, Langley Funeral Home is now run by Radney Funeral Home after a sale by the funeral home.
Randy Anderson, owner of Radney Funeral Home and now Langley Funeral Home, said the sale was agreed to after a talk with the owners of Langley.
“Wade and Debbie Langley have been in the business here more than 40 years, and they decided it was time that they retire,” Anderson said. “They were looking forward to retirement and spending time with their grandchildren and gave me a call to see if I would be interested in taking their funeral home, which we eventually worked out.”
Anderson said previous experience working with Langley makes it a good fit.
“Wade and I have worked together – I worked there formerly and my manager Brian Cummings worked there formerly – and we were very close,” Anderson said. “We have always worked well together. We have traded help and equipment. Whatever we needed, we were always there for each other. They just made it a good fit for us to come in and serve the people of this community as well.”
Anderson added that despite the change in ownership, the changes at Langley will be minimal.
“We are going to continue to provide the highest level of professional and compassionate service that we can,” Anderson said. “We’ll also do some modernization. We’ll offer personalization and memorial videos for those who would like those. Basically, everything else will remain the same.”
Anderson said Langley will continue to work hard serving the community the best it can.
“I want to be sure that the people here in Langley’s area know that we are here to serve them. We will do our very best to provide the best possible service,” Anderson said. “We will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for them.”
