A new business is offering service and supplies for vehicles on four and two wheels.
ATV’s Unlimited opened up shop this week in Alexander City.
Fredrick Alford, owner of ATV’s Unlimited, said that while the name of the four-wheeled vehicle features prominently in the store’s title, the shop offers services and parts for other vehicles as well.
“We are offering all parts and accessories motorcycles, four-wheelers, dirt bikes, and side by sides,” Alford said. “We do full service, repairs, engine builds and whatever needs to be done.”
Alford said ATV’s Unlimited also buys and sells used vehicles, but mainly focuses on repairs and parts sales.
“I hope to provide a full parts and accessories retail shop, plus a service shop,” Alford said. “I just want to provide the best of service to the public.”
Alford said his lifelong background as a mechanic is part of what has driven him to open up the shop in Alexander City.
“I have been in business for three years in Eclectic,” Alford said. “I have done mechanic work pretty much my whole life. I’ve been doing mechanic work with my dad since I was little. I picked this up as hobby and got so busy with it that I turned it into a job.”
Alford added the time was right to open a business in town.
“I am originally from Hackneyville. I tried to open up several years ago, but nothing fell into place here in town,” Alford said. “So I backed off for a little while. I opened up in Eclectic, and then I started to look here again and things were available.”
ATV’s Unlimited is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is located at the intersection of Tallapoosa and Franklin streets.
