Dana F. Barlow disappeared Wednesday after leaving her Dadeville area home for a job interview. She was located by law enforcement in another state based on information obtained by TCSD investigators.

“We have found her safe and have been in contact with her,” said Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett. “There was no foul play or criminal activity whatsoever.”
Abbett declined to give further details about Barlow’s condition or whereabouts.
Barlow’s friend Stephanie Andrews said she was found in Orange County, Fla., near Orlando. Barlow is suffering from “some type of amnesia,” Andrews said, though doctors “can’t pinpoint exactly what it is at the moment.” Barlow is with her sister, Andrews said.
The family is “trying to keep it low-key” beyond that, Andrews added. The effort now, she added, is to get Scott Barlow to Florida to check on her.
“Ultimately the best thing is to know that she’s alive and breathing,” Andrews said. “That’s a blessing.”
