Mrs. Minnie Lee Royal

Funeral service for Mrs. Minnie Lee Royal, 66, of Alexander City, will be Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home.  Rev. Scott Jordan will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rock Springs Cemetery, Clay County.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Royal passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Russell Medical Center.  She was born on December 13, 1946 in DeKalb County, Alabama to Samuel Dennis and Hazel Bryant Dennis Cobb.  She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.  Mrs. Royal enjoyed yard work and spending time with her grandson.
She is survived by her son, Christopher D. Royal (Kristina) of Goodwater; grandchild, Aidan Royal; sisters, Dean Bates (J W) of Sylvania, LeMerle McVay (John) of Jasper, and Julia Parton (Vinson) of Talladega; aunt, Violet Bryant; sisters-in-law, Violet Jones of Cleveland, TN, Betty Carr of Cragford, Pat Pike of Goodwater, and Paula Royal of Birmingham; brother-in-law, Keith Royal (Diane) of Goodwater; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Andrew Royal; her parents; brother, Chester Shelton; and sister-in-law, Peggy Hamilton.
