Man stabbed to death

A Notasulga man has been charged with murder following a Saturday altercation that left one man dead.
The Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department received a call at 11:40 p.m. for an incident on Hayes Mill Road where an individual had received stab wounds.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Daryl Wayne Woodall, 30, had received severe lacerations and was airlifted to Baptist South in Montgomery, where he later passed away.
As a result of the investigation, Zachary Sean Hatchett, 19, was charged with murder. He is currently in the Tallapoosa County Jail pending a bond hearing.
The investigation is being conducted by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, Notasulga Police Department and the Tallapoosa County Sherriff’s Department and is still ongoing.
This incident is the second homicide reported in the county this year.
