Benjamin Russell High School to offer season tickets starting in SeptemberPublished 3:39pm Thursday, August 1, 2013
It’s that time of year again. In a few weeks, the lights at Sportplex Stadium will turn on and mark the beginning of another high school football season.
But before that day comes, Benjamin Russell High School will be offering an opportunity to get season tickets for all Wildcat home games.
BRHS Principal Jose Reyes said the tickets will be sold for $42 and will be opened up to 2012 season ticket holders first.
“We will be selling season tickets for our 2012 season ticket holders Sept. 3 – Sept. 6,” Reyes said. “The following Monday, we will open up ticket sales to the general public from Sept. 9- Sept. 13.”
Tickets can be picked up from the Alexander City Board of Education from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during these time periods.
Reyes said that ticket purchasers can also buy a season parking pass for $15 at the same time.
This year’s season passes will cover all six home games during the year, which is why the price is $42 as opposed to $35 for last year.
The Wildcats will be on the road for the first two games against Opelika then Marbury before returning home for the first home game on Sept. 13. The Wildcats will face Booker T. Washington for their 2013 home debut.
But for those wishing to get the earliest glance they can at this year’s team, BRHS will be participating in the Champion’s Challenge at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery. This game will be held Friday Aug. 23.
“This will get a lot of exposure for our kids, and I am sure we will bring a good home crowd,” Reyes said.
