Mr. Otis G. Simmons

Mr. Otis G. Simmons, born January 2, 1930, to the late Mr. and Mrs. George and Frankie Simmons of Monroe County Alabama.  He departed this life, July 14, 2013 at Bill Nichols Veterans Home, Alexander City, AL. Simmons served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Simmons was later employed in the Coosa County School System for 30 years as a teacher and principal.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013, 1:00 PM at the New Home Baptist Church, Rockford, AL. Burial in church Cemetery.

Survivors: wife, Levelma McKinney Simmons; three sisters: Rosemary Green, Mobile, AL; Patricia Kidd, Atmore, AL; Mildred Powell, Montgomery, AL. a uncle Leopard Simpkins.
