Funeral service for Mr. Jon Hoyt Hand, 44, of New Site, will be Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 12:00 pm
at New Site United Methodist Church.  Rev. Paul Vick and Rev. Harold Cummings will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Old Harmony Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at New Site United Methodist Church.
Mr. Hand passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. He was born on November 30, 1968 in Alexander City, Alabama to Donald Hoyt Hand and Peggy Joyce McKelvey Hand. He was a member of New Site United Methodist Church.
He worked for Russell Corp. for 15 years as a knitter, laid brick and worked in construction, and for the last three years worked for Sejin.
Mr. Hand enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon, and was an avid Auburn Tigers and Atlanta Braves fan.
He loved life, was a very outgoing person, and was a true friend who was always dependable. Mr. Hand loved his family and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Tonya Moncrief Hand of New Site; daughters, Whittney Morgan Hand of Millbrook, Brittany Megan Hand of Tallassee, Tiffany Brooke Hand of Goodwater, and Maggie Jordan Hand and Ashlyn Nichole Hanney both of New Site; grandchildren, Braylen Hunt, Taylor Campbell, Kaylen Lovejoy, and James Chadwick Dunn, Jr.; brother, Donnie Hand (Cindy) of Alexander City; and nieces, Melisha Ingram of Alexander City and Kristina Yates of New Site.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive flowers or memorial contributions to New Site United Methodist Church, 108 Church Rd, New Site, AL 36256-3156.
