Walter Darrell Tucker

A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Walter Darrell Tucker, 75, of Alexander City, will be Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Gerald Hallmark will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 1:00 pm until time of service at First Baptist Church.
Mr. Tucker passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Russell Medical Center. He was born on November 27, 1937 in Mobile, Alabama to James Walter Tucker and Fredith Baughman Tucker.  Mr. Tucker was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was also a Godly man and was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and researching genealogy.  He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Building Construction. Mr. Tucker was greatly sought after for his planning, designing and drafting of homes.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean Mitchell Tucker of Alexander City; children, Michael Darrell Tucker (Carmen) of Dadeville, Kimberly Dell Allbritton (Michael) of Perry, FL, Katherine Elizabeth Paskert (Jeffrey) of Tampa, FL and James Mitchell Tucker of Dadeville; grandchildren, Stephanie Woerner (Luke), Shane Tucker, Nicholas and Victoria Allbritton, Seth, Matthew, Daniel and Caroline Paskert; sister, Catherine Elaine Mathis of Mobile and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
