The United Way Conference Room was packed Thursday with community leaders who turned out for the Lake Martin Area United Way Annual Meeting.

Sharon Fuller, executive director of the Lake Martin Area United Way, recapped last year’s campaign and presented a few details for this year’s campaign, which will kick off Aug. 27 at the Betty Carol Graham Technology Center.

“Our campaign theme is Drivin’ for a United Community,” Fuller said. “KwangSung is going to be our Pacesetter this year. Since they are a Korean auto supplier, we decided to use the driving theme.”
