Two-car wreck injures TPI paper carrier

A Tallapoosa Publishers, Inc. paper carrier was involved in a two-car accident Monday.

According to the Alabama Department of Public Safety, Daphine Paulette Gamble, 50, of Alexander City was involved in the two-car collision.

The incident occurred at 11:19 p.m. on Alabama Highway 63 near the intersection of Elkahatchee Road at the 22.4 mile marker.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 1998 Chevrolet Astro van, was Damon Dudley Stahl Jr., 27, of Camp Hill.

Both drivers suffered injuries.

Stahl was taken to Tallassee Hospital, while Gamble was transported to Russell Medical Center where she underwent surgery before being moved to the intensive care unit.

Because of the accident, Tuesday’s edition of The Outlook was not delivered to subscribers in the Windemere and Wind Creek areas.

The Tuesday edition was delivered to Windemere and Wind Creek subscribers along with Wednesday’s edition on Wednesday.
