Funeral service for Mr. Thomas Charles Parish, Sr., 64, of Goodwater, will be Friday, June 7, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church, Sylacauga, AL. Bro. Craig Ogle will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Providence Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Parish passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 23, 1948 in Randolph County, Alabama to George W. Parish and Vera Mae Duke Parish. Mr. Parish attended Faith Baptist Church in Sylacauga where he loved his church family and the Lord most of all.
He worked at Madix for 43 years and was a hard worker who took care of his family. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, and supporting his children and grandchildren in everything they did.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Onita J Williams Parish; sons, Thomas Charles Parish, Jr. of Goodwater, Michael George Parish of Anniston, and Steve Parish (Darlene) of Goodwater; grandchildren, Scott Parish (Amanda), Travis Parish (Kameron Colley), Kyle Parish, Branden Parish (Angel), Samantha Bishop (Kevin), and Nicholas Parish; 3 Great-Grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Phillips, Mavolene Bivens (Harry), and Sarah Payne (Billy J.); brothers, Almon Parish (Ann) and Jack Parish (Mary Ruth); numerous nieces, nephews and close family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, William G. Parish and Aubrey Parish.
