Alexander City man killed in one-car wreck

An Alexander City driver was among four killed in an accident in Greene County Wednesday.

Justin Coleman, 21, of Alexander City was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday that claimed the lives of three others and injured four more.

The crash occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 11 five miles south of Knoxville when the 2004 Ford Explorer Coleman was driving left the roadway and overturned before striking a tree.

According to authorities, no seat belts and child restraints were in use at the time of the accident.

Passengers Demetria Aaron, 30, Latrice Robertson, 22, and Ziliyah Robertson, 2, all from Tuscaloosa, were also killed in the accident.

Four other passengers were injured in the crash.

Passengers Kevone Carpenter, 10, and Kewone Carpenter, 11, were both taken to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.

Passenger Myeisha Robertson, 17, was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, and passenger Keosha Aaron, 15, was taken to Greene County Hospital.

Alabama State Troopers are continuing to investigate.
