Robert Hudson has joined Tallapoosa Publishers, Inc. as its newest staff writer.

Hudson, a Mobile native, graduated with a degree in print journalism from Troy University in May 2011. He worked as a staff writer at The Selma Times-Journal from June 2011 to April 2013.

“I’m very excited to join Tallapoosa Publishers, Inc., and I’m looking forward to learning about the community,” Hudson said. “Journalism is my passion, and I look forward to covering the daily events of the area while also getting to know the people of Tallapoosa County.”

Hudson will cover news, features and sports for The Outlook, The Record and various special publications.

“Robert has already proven to be a top-notch addition to our news team,” said General Manager and Managing Editor Virginia Spears. “He learned the ropes of community journalism at our sister publication in Selma, and he has already hit the ground running here in Alexander City.

“I, along with the rest of the staff, look forward to working with him to continue to produce a great news product for our readers.”
