Funeral services for Ms. Myrtis Lewis Baker, age 84, of Alexander City, AL will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Bass Funeral Home. Dr. John Watkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Bass Funeral Home.

Ms. Baker passed away on April 18, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Coosa County on October 19, 1928 to Basley Lewis and Marie Stroud Lewis. She attended Victory Baptist Church and worked in the textile industry as a weaver for most of

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Baker (Becky) of Jackson’s Gap and Roy Jack Baker Jr. (Trish) of Alex. City; one daughter, Wanda Jean Baker of Alex. City; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Basley and Marie Lewis; her husband, Roy Jack Baker; one son, Tim Baker; two brothers and one sister.
