Down to an art

Students at Stephens Elementary School spent the month of March learning to focus, working in groups and writing dialogue as part of a grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts. Allison Upshaw, teaching artist, worked with the students on a number of activities four days a week. Yesterday, the students showed off what they had learned by performing for their parents scenes from fairy tales they adapted to reflect win-win scenarios.
