A wreck at the intersection of Dean Road and Hwy. 280 sent all three of the two vehicle’s occupants to the hospital, according to the Alexander City Police department.

At approximately 1:02 p.m., a gold Grand Marquis attempted to cross Hwy. 280 via Dean Road when it was struck on its passenger side by a black Jeep Commander traveling on westbound Hwy. 280.

The accident caused the Commander to overturn and come to rest on its side. The driver and passenger of the Commander were both taken to the hospital, along with the driver of the Grand Marquis, who was the car’s sole occupant.

The conditions and names of the victims were unavailable as of press time.
