Funeral service for Mr. James “Donald” Bice, 81, of Alexander City, will be Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 4:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home.  Rev. Josh Hickman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.

Mr. Bice passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Russell Medical Center.  He was born on February 17, 1932 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to James Aubrey Bice and Kathleen Fuller Bice.  Mr. Donald was a natural engineer and mechanic.  He enjoyed tinkering and could fix anything.  For 43+ years he worked at and co-owned Bice Motors.  He enjoyed traveling and loved his family very much.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Roena McDaniel Bice of Alexander City; daughters, Janice Bice Embry (Wayne) of Alexander City and Jami Bice Frost (Cameron) of Acworth, GA; grandchildren, Porsche Ferrall (Charlie), Holley Fenn (John), Rebecca Hickman (Josh), Sara Kate Frost, and Maggie Frost; great-grandchildren, Cody McCrary, Emma Ferrall, and Ayda Hickman; and brother, Robert Bice (Pat) of Alexander City.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contrbutions be given to the Cancer Center at Russell Medical Center, c/o Russell Medical Center Foundation, P.O. Box 939, Alexander City, AL 35010 or to the charity of one’s choice.
